Many organizations operate with central Buyer teams, who action orders on behalf of Browsers and other Buyers within their organization. Prior to the Incomplete Requisition Sharing feature, if a Browser reassigned a requisition, only the assigned Buyer could reassign it again.
Incomplete Requisition Sharing resolves this, by allowing incomplete requisitions to be shared across any Buyer within an organization unit.
If enabled, Buyers within the same organization unit(s) can view all incomplete requisitions, within their unit and change the Buyer of the requisition to themselves or another buyer. This is useful if a Buyer is on leave and the order placement is urgent.
Enable Edit Buyer Sharing Setting (Community Administrator)
Users with the Community Administrator role can enable this feature:
Navigation: Administration module > select Organizations > click Settings tab.
Check the Edit Buyer Sharing box.
Select Save.
Sharing an Incomplete Requisition (Buyer Usage)
Once sharing is enabled, a user with the Buyer role can view shared incomplete requisitions within their organizational structure:
Access Tasks: Select
Tasksmenu > click Incomplete Requisitions.
Clear Filter: Clear the Buyer field by clicking the "x" > select Search.
The user can now see any Incomplete Requisitions designated to:
The user's Org Units
A child of the user's Org Units
A Buyer/Browser who shares the user's Org Units
A child of an Org Unit, for another Buyer/Browser who shares the user's Org Units.
Reassign Buyer
To take ownership of a shared incomplete requisition, the Buyer must reassign the requisition to themselves or another Buyer:
Initiate Reassignment: Locate the desired requisition and select the pencil icon.
Select Buyer: A pop-up box will appear. In the Buyer field, choose the desired buyer (e.g., yourself).
Add Note: In the Note field, insert the desired message.
Confirm: Select OK.
Once completed, the Incomplete Requisition will become available to the new assigned buyer for checkout.
