The Comments tab is a vital internal tool available in all order types (including Blanket Orders). That allows any user who can view the order to include notes, track essential details, and communicate with other internal users. Comments are only visible within the Community and are not shown to the supplier.
Essential Details Managed via Comments
The Comments tab facilitates the tracking of details, such as:
Tracking numbers for shipments.
Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) for backorders.
Internal communication regarding the order.
Other internal notes the user wishes to link to the order.
Procedure to Add an Order Comment
Locate the Order:
Navigate to the Marketplace module > select Orders.
Find the order by entering the number in the Search Order Number field or by utilizing Filters
Access Comments:
Select the order number. The Order view screen will appear.
Select the Comments tab.
Create and Send Comment:
Click +Add Comment.
Enter the desired user(s) in the Mentioned users field (optional).
Insert your message in the Text box.
Select Send.
Email Notifications for Comments
Users mentioned in a comment, as well as core members of the order, receive email notifications.
Mentioned Users: Receive a notification beginning with: "You were mentioned in this comment." The user's name and the comment text are displayed in the Comments tab.
Standard Order Notifications: Notifications are automatically sent to the Buyer (unless the Buyer posted the comment), the Requester, and On Behalf of users.
Blanket Order Notifications: Notifications are sent to the Buyer and all Available To users.
