  • Updated

Use this article when a buyer cannot select an account code during checkout, or when an approver cannot approve a requisition. Because an account code is not populating, in Unimarket.

Before troubleshooting, obtain:

  • The missing account code part (e.g. ORGN 257)
  • User with the Community Administrator role.
  • Knowledge of whether the community uses:
    • Manual account code maintenance
    • Account code file uploads
    • Banner/Workato integration

Understanding the Issue

When an account code part is not present, in Unimarket:

  • Buyers cannot select the required account code at checkout.
  • Approvers may be unable to approve requisitions that reference the missing account code and/or
  • Validation errors may occur when processing requisitions.

How Account Codes Are Loaded into Unimarket

Account codes can be loaded into Unimarket through one of the following methods:

  1. Manual entry within the Unimarket UI.
  2. Account code file upload processed through Unimarket.
  3. sFTP integration:
    • Commonly used by Banner/Workato customers.
    • Workato generates the account code file from ERP data and sends it to Unimarket.
    • Customers typically do not manage these files directly.

Notes & Limitations

  • Many Banner/Workato customers:
    • Generally receive account codes through automated ERP integrations.
    • Opt not to maintain account codes manually, due to integration requirements.
  • Workato-generated account code files are typically created from the customer's ERP data and are not maintained directly, in Unimarket.
  • Always document account code dependencies before escalating.
  • Ensure all requested screenshots and validation details are collected, before contacting the Unimarket Support team.
