What is a Credit Card?
Used When:
- The supplier supports cXML order integration.
- The supplier can process card details through system-to-system messaging.
Key Characteristics:
- Card details are sent securely via integration.
- Requires supplier to be PCI compliant.
- Fully automated payment processing.
- Not manually visible or reusable across transactions.
What is a Shared Credit Card?
A Shared Credit Card is a stored card managed within the system that can be reused across multiple transactions and users (based on permissions).
The Shared Credit Card feature allows buyers to use a pre-defined, community-managed shared credit card. Ensuring the credit card(s) are available on the Checkout, for buyers.
Used When:
- The supplier does not support cXML credit card transmission.
- The supplier has enabled Accept Credit Card, by selecting Yes within their profile.
Key Characteristics:
- Centrally managed and reusable.
- Controlled access (who can use it).
- Used for manual or non-integrated supplier transactions.
- Does not require cXML integration.
Payment Capability by Supplier Type
Payment options depend on the supplier type and the supplier profile configuration. Supplier profile setup fully controls payment availability.
