Unimarket is committed to providing a platform that is universal in design and accessible to all individuals. Our primary goal is to maintain compliance with the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Level AA (WCAG 2.1 AA) and Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act.

 

Our Accessibility Principles

We integrate accessibility into every stage of our product lifecycle:

  • Design for All: We prioritize color contrast, text sizing, and navigational clarity during the initial design phase.
  • Design System Integration: Accessibility best practices are baked into our core Design System. Providing a consistent reference for our designers and developers.
  • Rigorous Testing: We incorporate accessibility checks as a mandatory part of our User Acceptance Testing (UAT), to verify end-code compliance.

 

Compliance and Reporting

To maintain transparency and accountability, we utilize the following evaluation tools:

  • Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT): Unimarket conducts an internal VPAT assessment at least every two years, to measure conformance with Section 508 standards.
  • Formal Documentation: Findings from these assessments are documented in formal reports. Any identified violations are added to our Jira development backlog for remediation.
  • Requesting Reports: If you require a copy of the most recent VPAT report for your institutional audit, please contact us at support@unimarket.com.

 

Feedback and Remediation

We value user input to help us improve:

  • User Feedback: Accessibility issues reported by our users are given priority in our development backlog to ensure timely resolution.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identified WCAG violations are systematically addressed through our standard release cycles.

 

Exclusions

While we strive for total accessibility, some content within the platform is outside of Unimarket's direct control. These exclusions include:

  • Supplier catalog content and descriptions.
  • User-uploaded images and documents.
  • Integrated third-party supplier eCommerce (Punchout) sites.
  • External links or referenced third-party content.
