Public Holiday Schedule

The Public Holiday Schedule feature prevents approval tasks from automatically escalating, on days when the office is closed. This ensures that requisitions do not "time out" and move to a higher-level approver, simply because the current approver is out for a holiday.

By default, Unimarket does not auto-escalate approvals on weekends.

 

Holiday Types

The system categorizes holidays into two sections within the Holidays tab:

  1. Public Holidays: Pre-defined national holidays based on your community's country.

  2. Local Holidays: Custom dates specific to your organization (e.g., regional holidays or specific office closures).

 

Management and Permissions

Only users with the Community Administrator or Approval Administrator role can manage these settings.

  1. Navigation: Go to the Administration module > Approvals > Holidays tab.

 

Adding and Editing Holidays

  • Add Local Holiday: In the Local Holidays section, click +Add Holiday, fill in the required fields (marked with a red asterisk), and click Add.

 

  • Edit Local Holiday: Click Edit next to the specific holiday, in the Local Holidays section to update its' details.

  • Public Holidays: National Public Holidays cannot be edited; they can only be enabled or disabled.

 

Disabling or Deleting Holidays

  • Public Holidays: To stop the system from recognizing a national holiday, uncheck the box in the Enabled column for that holiday.

 

  • Local Holidays: To remove a custom holiday, locate it in the Local Holidays section and click Delete.
