When the Catalog Approval setting is enabled, your community has a quality control gate for all hosted catalog content. This ensures that pricing, items, and descriptions are reviewed before they become visible to your buyers.
Activation: To enable the Catalog Approval feature for your community, please contact your Unimarket Customer Success Manager.
Notifications for Reviewers
When a supplier submits a new catalog or updates an existing one, an email notification is automatically sent to:
All users with the Catalog Reviewer role.
The email address assigned to the Supplier Comments field, in your Community Profile.

Reviewing and Approving New Catalogs
A "New Catalog" refers to a supplier's first catalog submission or a completely new catalog file.
Navigate to the Administration module and select Catalogs.

Click Filters and set the following:
Review State: New Catalog
Availability: Needs Review
Click Apply Filter.
Find the catalog, select the Actions menu, and click View.
Review the Content: Examine the items. You can select More Actions > Export Draft Products if you prefer to review the data in Excel.
Actions to Take
Accept: Select Accept. In the pop-up, you must assign at least one Buyer Group to make the catalog visible. Click Accept again to finalize.
Decline: Select Decline. You must enter a reason in the pop-up box. The supplier will receive this message so they can make the necessary corrections.

Reviewing Updates to Existing Catalogs
When a supplier modifies a catalog that is already active, the changes are saved as a Draft. The existing version remains live for buyers until you approve the new draft.
Locate Updated Catalogs
Navigate to the Administration module and select Catalogs.
Click Filters.
In the Review State field, select Accepted (New Draft).
Click Apply Filter.
Identify and Compare Changes
Find the desired catalog, select the Actions menu, and click View.
Go to the Draft Products tab to see proposed changes.

Visual Indicators: Unimarket uses specific icons to help you spot changes quickly:
Up/Down Arrows: A green or red arrow next to a price indicates a price increase or decrease.
Yellow Highlights: Click any Item Name to open the View Product Details screen. Any field the supplier has changed (such as description, SKU, or price) will be highlighted in yellow.
Take Action
To Accept: Select Accept. You will have the option to update the Buyer Group assignment if needed. Once you click Accept in the pop-up, the draft items immediately replace the old items in the Marketplace.
To Decline: Select Decline. You must enter a reason in the text box. This sends an automated notification to the supplier so they know why their updates were rejected.
Assigning Buyer Groups and Catalog Tags
A catalog will not appear in the Marketplace unless it is assigned to a Buyer Group, even if it has been "Accepted."
Navigate to the Administration module > Catalogs.
Filter by Availability: Needs Buyer Groups.
Select Actions > Settings for the relevant catalog.
Buyer Groups: Select the group(s) that should see this catalog.
Catalog Tags (optional): Assign tags to help categorize the catalog for users.
Click Save.
