How to Approve/Decline a Supplier Request

  • Updated

Managing supplier requests in Unimarket involves a multi-stage workflow handled by Community Administrators or Supplier Request Administrators.

Reviewing the Initial Request

When a user requests a new supplier, administrators are notified via email and a task is generated in their Tasks menu.

  1. Locate the Task: Click the Tasks icon (top right) > Tasks tab > Supplier Requests.

  1. Filter for Pending: Ensure the State search field is set to Pending.

  1. Review & Action:

    • Select the supplier’s name to view the View Supplier Request pop-up.

    • Review details and enter comments in the Notes field.

    • Click Accept or Decline.

Note: If declined, the requester receives an email with your notes as the reason.

Sending the Invitation

Once a request is accepted:

  1. The Add Supplier window appears with auto-populated details.

  2. Assign specific registration requirements as needed and click Add.

  1. The system automatically emails an invitation to the supplier, and the status changes to Accepted.

Final Validation and Connection

After the supplier completes their registration and meets all requirements, the status changes to Completed. Administrators must then perform the final connection.

  1. Navigate: Go to the Administration module > Suppliers.

  2. Search: Set the State field to Pending and click Search.

  3. Connect: Open the supplier’s profile, select More Actions, and click +Connect.

  4. Notification: Once connected, the original requester is automatically notified via email that the supplier is available.

Note: If a supplier is connected but has no buyer groups assigned, you can update this via the Administration > Suppliers module.
