What are Beacon AI Credits?
Beacon AI credits are consumed whenever users interact with Beacon AI capabilities within Unimarket.
Credit consumption varies depending on:
- The Beacon AI capability being used.
- The complexity of the request.
- The volume of information being processed.
- The complexity of your organization's procurement policies and data.
Because AI tasks vary in complexity, credit usage is not fixed. For example, providing procurement guidance against a large and complex policy. Will typically consume more credits than guidance based on a simple policy.
Note: The examples below represent typical usage only. Actual consumption may vary.
Limits and Notes
- Credit usage examples are estimates only.
- Actual consumption varies based on request complexity.
- All users within a community consume credits from the same credit pool.
- Procurement pathway generation is typically the most credit-intensive Beacon AI activity.
- Credit consumption may vary as Beacon AI capabilities evolve.
Beacon AI Credit Usage by Capability
| Action | Typical Usage (Credits) |
|---|---|
| Simple chat question and answer | 1 |
| Policy guidance (approximately four questions and answers resulting in guidance) | 4 |
| Policy Guide document extraction | 1 |
| Policy Guide procurement pathway (rules) generation | 160 |

Note: Most organizations only need to perform this activity once or twice per year.
