Linking a bid request to a contract allows you to connect a contract to its original bidding event for better traceability and consistency. This is particularly useful when a community has awarded a bid and wants to reference the source details within the contract record.
Prerequisites
Role: You must have the necessary permissions to create or edit contracts.

Leadsheet: You must have already entered the supplier on the contract Leadsheet, to filter available bid requests.
Steps
Open the contract you are working on and click the Bid tab.

In the Bid Request field, choose one of the following options based on where the bid originated:
None: No bid requests to link to contract.
Link to Unimarket Bid Request: Use this if the bid exists, within the system.
Enter Bid Request Details: Use this to manually enter details if the bid was conducted outside of the system.
Follow the specific actions for your chosen option:
For Unimarket Bids: Select the desired bid from the Bid Request field. The system automatically links the details based on the supplier identified on the Leadsheet.
For Enter Bid Request Details: Key in the necessary information regarding the external bid request.
Click Continue to save the link and proceed to the next section of the contract.
NOTE:
Selecting Back, will return you to the Leadsheet tab. While selecting Cancel will discard all entered information and end the session.
Results
The bid request information is now associated with the contract, allowing users to reference the original bidding event and ensuring data consistency across the platform.
