• Updating the Super Admin

    Admins-Banner-shorter.png

If you need to update who is the Super Admin for your enterprise, this will need to be actioned by the VendorPanel Support Team.

You can either discuss this with your Account or Customer Success Manager or reach out to the VendorPanel Support Team directly.

When requesting the update, please specify the following:

    • What date you require the change to be made.
    • If the existing Super Admin will still require an account moving forward or not.
  • Adding & Removing Administrator Roles

    Admins-Banner-shorter.png

The Administrators that are registered in the Administrators Group can hold one or both administrator roles: Enterprise Panel Manager and Local Group Administrator.

When they are invited to register they can only be assigned one of these roles, however, they can be assigned the other role once they have registered. The Super Admin manages the roles for each Administrator within the Administrators Group.

The below steps go through how to manage admin roles for the users in the Administrators Group.

    1. Select Local Groups and Users under the Admin Tools menu (either in the top menubar or on the homepage on the left-side menu).

    2. Next to the Administrators Group, click the blue numbered button in the ADMN/MGRS column to view the list of users in the group.

    3. Here, you will see a list of the current administrators. Click on the blue arrow icon to the right of the relevant Administrator and then click on the Manage admin roles for this user option in the pop-up.

    4. On the next page, you can tick or un-tick the relevant Admin rights for that administrator. Save your changes by clicking on the Save Roles button.

    Please note

If the Administrator is managing a Panel or a Local Group, then the corresponding role cannot be removed from their profile. Those Panels/Local Groups would need to be assigned to another Admin, so they no longer own or manage any Panels or Local Groups, before you can remove the role from their profile.

    Extending Reporting Permissions

As the Super Administrator, you can run related reports that contain information across your environment without the restriction of user permissions.

The Super Administrator can also extend these reporting permissions to other Administrators (Local Group Admin and Supplier List Admin).

To do this, head to Local Groups & Users under your Admin Tools.

To the right of the Administrators group, click the numbered bubble below the Admin/Mgrs column.

Click on the action arrow to the right of the administrator you’re providing the extended reporting permissions to.

From the menu, select Extended permissions for this user.

Tick the checkbox to enable extended reporting permissions and save the permissions.

    Please note

This does not change the Administrators access to view requests, lists or other information. This functionality is simply intended to allow the user to extract reports as if they were the Super Administrator.

  • Creating a New Local Group

    Admins-Banner-shorter.png

Local Groups can be created either by the Super Admin of the enterprise or by a Local Group Administrator.

To create a new Local Group, select Local Groups and Users under the Admin Tools menu (either in the top menubar or on the homepage on the left-side menu).

    mceclip0.png

Here, click the Add New button above the list of current local groups.

    mceclip0.png

This will take you to the Add a new Local Group page. Here, you will do the following:

    • Give the group a name and description
    • Enter default business details and location address
    • Select the local group settings
      • There will be a question mark icon against each setting. You can hover over this to get information about that specific setting.

    Local Group Ownership

All local groups must be allocated to a Local Group Administrator (or the Super Admin). In the top right, you can select either yourself or someone else in the yellow box. The Super Admin can update who owns the Local Group in future.

    Saving the Local Group

Once you have configured the various settings as needed, click the Save button at the bottom of the page to create the new local group. Once the group is created you can invite new Buyers or Local Group Managers to register in the group.
