Overview
Unimarket offers in-app communication with your customers to allow for easy communication. A prime example is when asking questions related to Bid Requests, or asking a customer specific questions about an order.
Bid Request Messages and Questions
Many Bid Requests will include a Questions Due Date. This is the date that customers would like all questions related to the bid submitted by to give them time to answer them. These messages between you and the customer are private - meaning that only you and the collaborating customers can see them. Your bidding competitors can not read your questions and you cannot read theirs.
To ask a question, follow these steps.
- Log in to Unimarket, find the Tasks menu in the top right corner, and choose Bid Requests.
- Choose the Bid Request you would like to ask a question on.
- Choose the Messages tab. (There is a 2,000 character limit including spaces).
- Choose +Add Comment to add a new message or question and click Send.
Filter by
The Filter by option allows you to choose whether to view just the messages between you and the customer, or just notifications from the customer. A notification is often an alert sent to all suppliers included in the Bid Request. A common notification would be a date extension to allow more time to respond to the bid. You may also choose ALL to view both messages and notifications together.
Customer/Supplier Forum Messages
Suppliers may have questions that are not related specifically to the bid and want to communicate general messages or questions. A Customer/Supplier forum is built into Unimarket to allow customers and suppliers to communicate within the Unimarket tool.
To access this forum, follow these steps:
- Log in to Unimarket and find the Menu bar in the top left and choose Customers.
- Select the customer you would like to communicate with and click on their name to view their profile.
- Find the Comments tab to reveal the forum between you and this customer.
- Select +Add Comment.
- All comments will be revealed in the Comments record, including any messages from the customer.
