Release 4.10 adds functionality to allow comments on a requisition, links between contracts and a new contracts role to differentiate between Owners and Initiators on a contract.
New Features:
Comments on a Requisition
We have added a comments feature to requisitions so that both buyers and approvers can post comments and be automatically alerted by email. This should save valuable time in those situations when approvers have questions around the need for an item or require more specifics relating to a product or service.
As part of the Comments feature we have added tabs to the requisition screen to ensure things remain clean and simple. There is now a tab for Items, Approvals and Comments.
Contract Initiator and Owner Roles
We have added an additional Owner role to the contracts module so you can now differentiate between the Initiator that created the contract record and the Owner/manager of the contract.
Linking Contracts
We have added the ability to link contracts together so it's possible to easily see the relationships between contracts such as a master agreement and the related sub agreements.
View Contracts Page State/Status Filtering Improvement
With the contracts workflow ability to create customized contract states/statuses we have enhanced the View Contracts Page filtering. The State filter now accounts for the custom states of the contracts currently in use.
Other Changes and Fixes
- The receipt date on retrofit orders is now the user-defined order date.
- We have added a Checkout link to the Incomplete Requisitions page to make things a little quicker.
- We have added the ability for users with the OBO Receiving role and the Create Invoices role to add attachments to orders.
- Contract Alert times are now defaulted like the contract dates.
What's Next?
The upcoming releases will introduce the ability to restrict account codes by organization unit and create a contract from a requisition. We are also starting the work on community dashboards which will provide some useful spend insights!
