Release 4.0 introduces improvements to the banner and menus to free-up space and keep things simple. We've also added new Tags functionality to make the right supplier even more easy to find!
Changes to the Banner and Menus
We have introduced some changes to the menus and the banner area to free up space and make way for our new functionality like Contracts.
Combined Supplier and Product Search
We have introduced the ability to attach keywords to any supplier so these can be used as part of the search. Users can now search at the top of the page and we will return a list of both products and suppliers that match the search terms.
Categories and Tags
We have introduced a flexible Tags system which can be attached to suppliers and visible within search results and the View Suppliers page.
Communities can also apply a ‘boost’ to the tag so that any supplier with the tag will be boosted in the search results.
Contracts Module – On its Way!
We have made further additions to the contracts module and we plan to make this available to customers in the next couple of releases.
The contracts module now includes Amendments which provide the ability to record one or many contract amendments to an existing contract record.
Other Changes and Fixes
- We have added some handy icons to the View Suppliers page to indicate if a supplier has a catalog, integration, roundtrip or credit card.
- If you have the additional modules Sourcing, Ledger, Expenses or Contracts enabled you now have a new Community Modules item under the administrator menu.
- There is potentially a conflict between the new tags you assign a supplier and the self-rated green status that a supplier assigns to themselves. To avoid any conflict we have moved the green leaves to the suppler details page.
