Release 3.33 delivers Administration Roles which was the top voted customer enhancement raised at the 2012 Unimarket Conference. It also introduces some much requested improvements to reporting performance. Release 3.33 will be available in Demo for customer testing on July 22nd and in Production on the 29th.
New Features
Administration Roles
At the top of our 2012 Unimarket Conference customer enhancement list was the ability to allocate administrator functions without the need to provide full unrestricted access. This release sees the introduction of 5 new administrator roles that allow you to allocate functional permissions more effectively. The following new roles have been created:
Community Profile Role
Allows the user to manage administrator functions that relate to the community profile such as the name, branding, welcome text, links, community email addresses and more.
Community Features Role
Allows the user to manage administrator functions that relate to the community features such as general community preferences, ordering and checkout preferences and invoice matching preferences.
Community Management Role
Allows the user to manage administrator functions that relate to the community setup and master data including location codes, account codes, exchange rates, forms, tax rates, sourcing preferences, ledger and expenses.
Approvals Administrator Role
Allows the user to view and manage community approval information and settings.
User Administrator Role
Allows the user to manage community users including user details and roles. The User Administrator Role cannot allocate a user the Community Administrator (full administrator) role.
Optimize Standard Reports
A long standing request from customers is to allow standard Unimarket reports to be run over a longer period of time and have them run much quicker. This release includes a lot of under-the-covers work to optimise the standard reports so you can run them more efficiently. The following reports (see pic) have been optimized and community administrators can run the reports for a time period of up to 1 year.
Please note that customer specific reports have not been changed.
Reporting Added to the View Transactions Role
We have added the ability to run reports to the new View Transactions role (released in 3.32). Reporting fits well with this role as it allows the user to both view and report on transactional data. Users with this role will have a separate Reporting tab in the menu.
Enable and Disable Switch User
We have added the ability to enable or disable the Switch User functionality for a community. This will be 'On' for all existing communities, however if you would like it disabled please contact Unimarket Support. This is a community-wide setting that must be changed by a Unimarket Administrator.
Other Changes and Fixes
Release 3.33 contains a number of bug fixes and small changes some of which include:
- Remove closed orders from the GRNI report.
- Improve the way we display account codes with blank values.
- Make product form pick-list pricing clearer.
