Release 5.0
New Features
Procurement and Performance Dashboards
Procurement dashboards have arrived! Over the past months we have been toiling away building a dashboard framework so that Unimarket can provide strategic procurement insights through dashboards of graphs and widgets. This release provides just that with a Procurement dashboard of key information around spend and a Performance dashboard designed to help you monitor the performance of your procurement and approval process. Over time we will extend dashboards to invoicing, sourcing, contracts and more.
The dashboards are visible to Administrators, the View Transactions role and community users where Sharing is enabled.
Please note that dashboards require a bit of number crunching once they are released so it will take us a few weeks to enable dashboards for all communities.
New Look Buyer Dashboard
We have redesigned the dashboard for buyers and browsers to make it easier for users to immediately access their favorite suppliers upon logging in and allow procurement managers to pin groups of important suppliers on the dashboard according to tags. Through an actions menu on each supplier, supplier catalogs, integrated roundtrip and non-catalog ordering can all be quickly accessed directly from the dashboard.
Dashboard Defaults
Users can easily choose where they want to land when they login by clicking Make this My Default. For example Procurement Managers may choose to land on the procurement dashboard to review their KPIs while buyers will want the new buyer dashboard.
Transitioning
To make the transition to the new dashboards easier on your buyers and browsers we have retained the existing Transactions dashboard as the default. However, we really think the new Buyer Dashboard and Task sidebar are a great improvement so please advise your users to make this the default and we will phase out the Transactions dashboard over time.
Updated Supplier Page
Together with the buyer dashboard we have updated the supplier page and made this quickly accessible from the main page. Like the dashboard, catalogs and other actions can be accessed directly from the supplier and there are new filters for UNSPSC codes, Favorites and Catalog Suppliers.
Task Sidebar
By making the buyer dashboard more supplier focused we have also taken away the view of recent transactions. However, not to fear because Unimarket 5.0 introduces an all new Task Sidebar for all your tasks, approvals and recent transaction activity. Clicking the tasks icon at the top slides out the sidebar so all this information is at you fingertips from any screen. Its the best of both worlds!
Improved View Suppliers Page
We have improved the View Suppliers page for administrators which now includes the ability to search by UNSPSC category and by the Vendor ID from your ERP system. We also display tags and the Vendor ID.
What's Next
We are currently working on SAML SSO integration and will be starting on improvements around invoice exception handling.
